World Health Day 2017: Eight essential oils that help to treat depression!

New Delhi: Every year on April 7, World Health Day is observed throughout the world and this year theme is ‘Depression: Let’s talk’.

Depression is a state of low mood which affects a person’s thoughts, behaviour, feelings and sense of well being.

Though depression can be commonly treated with antidepressants and counselling, but studies have found that aromatherapy helps in treating mild depression.

Here are a few essential oils that helps in treating depression:

Ylang-ylang oil

The oil helps in treating depression as it relaxes your nerves. Ylang-ylang oil also helps your blood pressure, regulates breathing pattern and decreases adrenaline.

Sandalwood oil

Bergamot oil
