Social media reactions to Salman Khan’s conviction in black buck poaching case

A Jodhpur court today pronounced verdict in the 19-year-old black buck poaching case and convicted Salman Khan while acquitting Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam and Tabu. Salman Khan was charged under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act. The maximum punishment under Section 51 is six years.

While the court decided Salman’s fate, his fans took to social media to express their dejection and disbelief.

While a lot of users believed that the conviction was fair and long overdue.

On the other hand, some opined that Salman will get away from the punishment through another appeal.

Blackbuck poaching case conviction: What next for Salman Khan

Actor Salman Khan, who was today found guilty of poaching the endangered blackbuck, will very likely appeal against this verdict in the Rajasthan high court, just like he successfully did in his previous two related convictions, which were then overturned.
